Lumen IQ™ Station Communication Hubs
A Lumen IQ™ Station provides an Internet connection between the Lumen IQ7trade; Central database and a local area network of Lumen IQ™ C200 lamp controllers.
This wireless network infrastructure uses the Lumen IQ™ Station to distribute programming instructions and collect data. It allows communities to control and manage their street lighting network by connecting with the Internet using wide area 1X cellular data communications, but communicates with local lamp controllers using cost-effective 900 Mhz RF radio. The Lumen IQ™ Station can also be integrated to your existing wireless network infrastructure making the overall system even more cost effective.
At least one Lumen IQ™ Station is required in a Lumen IQ™ Street Light Management System. It can be mounted on a pole, the side of a building, or practically any other location within a 300 metre (1000 ft.) range of its corresponding group of lamp controllers. A single Lumen IQ™ Station can act as the wireless communications gateway for 250 or more lamp controllers (the actual number of controllers depends on local geography).
